Instrucciones para preparar
la Solicitud de Donativos
El proceso y formato de la Solicitud de Donativos de la Fundación Ángel Ramos (FAR) ha cambiado. El documento se accederá y completará en línea. Por favor, lea cuidadosamente las siguientes instrucciones antes de contestar
y someter la Solicitud de Donativos en línea.
Toda institución debe someter tres cotizaciones oficiales de tres suplidores diferentes con las mismas especificaciones e identificar con una nota la cotización seleccionada. (Esto aplica para cualquier compra que haya que realizar para el desarrollo del programa).
Si el tipo de apoyo solicitado requiere la contratación por servicios profesionales, debe incluir un borrador del contrato o la cotización de los consultores o recursos a contratar que detalle nombre, tarea y honorarios.
Toda institución que solicite para proyectos de construcción debe leer cuidadosamente las instrucciones que siguen.
Instrucciones para solicitudes de proyectos de construcción o mejoras a instalaciones físicas:
La Fundación Ángel Ramos ha creado un nuevo proceso para la evaluación de las solicitudes para proyectos de construcción y mejoras (reparaciones, remodelación, construcción, restauración) de planta física. Las mismas serán evaluadas por un ingeniero profesional licenciado.
Toda organización que solicite fondos para proyectos de construcción o mejoras a la planta física debe presentar:
Descripción del proyecto: describa de forma detallada las obras de construcción a realizar. Debe indicar qué documentos se le entregaron a los contratistas al solicitarle la cotización.
Cotizaciones oficiales: Debe incluir tres (3) cotizaciones específicas de las mejoras. Debe indicar la cotización seleccionada y las razones por la cual la seleccionó.
Solo se considerarán solicitudes que incluyan todos los documentos mencionados. Toda cotización debe contener lo siguiente:
11. Toda Solicitud de Donativos debe incluir el nombre, la fecha y la posición de la persona que la completó.
12. Para someter la solicitud, presione "someter". Luego de enviadas no podrán ser editadas.

Instructions for Preparing and Submitting the New Online Grant Application Form
The process and format for the Fundación Ángel Ramos (FAR) Grant Application Form has changed. The document will be prepared and submitted online. Please read carefully the following instructions before answering and submitting the online Grant Application Form.
1. To complete the Grant Application Form, all non-profit organizations should go to the Fundación Ángel Ramos webpage at www.farpr.org, and on the main page click where it says Solicitud de Donativos.
2. To gain access to our system you will need your user id (email) and password. If you have not submitted a FAR online application before, you must first register. Once you've been registered, the system will send you an email with a link to your FAR account. Please remember your user id and password, since you will need it to access your FAR account and related documents (applications, forms, reports, etc.). It's important to remember that only one person per organization should register to submit proposals or nomination forms in our system.
3. In the next screen, the system will ask for your organization's Tax ID. Please have it on hand.
4. Once you access the Form, you will proceed to complete an Eligibility Quiz, based on the criteria's that makes a non-profit organization eligible for our Grant Application Form. If you are approved, the system will automatically send you to the Form.
5. You will be able to complete the Grant Application Form at your own pace. If you would like to save your answers and come back at a later time, you may do so by pressing "Save & Finish Later", at the bottom of the screen. Always use the provided link to complete the Form that you previously started. Please, do not open a new Form.
6. The Grant Application Form is divided in tabs, which are visible at the top of the screen. You will find the instructions on the first tab. Please read these carefully before starting.
7. The questions for the Grant Application Form are stated in both Spanish and English.
8. We recommend you first print the Grant Application Form. This way you can read the questions and plan your answers ahead. Please note that each question has a word limit. Therefore, it is essential to be precise and concise.
9. The Form should be completed in all its parts and should include all the required documents. The system will reject any form that does not fulfill all requirements. All applications that are incomplete or include unsolicited attachments will be denied.
10. The following documents must be included as attachments:
a. Certificate of incorporation, establishing yours as a non-profit organization.
b. Financial statements from the previous year should be certified by a CPA. Organizations with an annual Budget equal or grater to $50,000, must submit Audited Financial Statements from the previous year. Organizations with an annual budget equal or less than $49,999, must submit Compiled Financial Statements from the previous year. If the only Financial Statements the organization has, are Audited, these are accepted.
c. Official quotes
Every institution should have three quotes and select the best one. Include and specify the Official Quotes. Also include the other quotes for reference.
If your organization is requesting funds for any type of professional services you should include a copy of the contract. This should specify the tasks, name and salary.
If your organization is requesting funds for any type of construction, please read carefully the following.
Instructions for construction projects or improvements
The Fundación Ángel Ramos has created a new evaluation process for applications that include construction projects (repairs, restoration, etc.). These will be evaluated by a licensed engineer.
Every organization that is requesting funds for construction, should present the following items:
Project description: Present a detailed description of the construction work. Indicate all the documents that were submitted to the contractor.
Official Quotes: You should include 3 quotes that specify the work to be made. In addition, you should indicate the quote that was selected and the reasoning behind it.
The only applications that will be considered are those that possess all the required documents.
Every quote should include the following:
c.a) A description of each task (plumbing, utilities, structure, etc.). If possible, you should include a breakdown of each task (labor and materials).
c.b) Specify if the work is distributed in different areas.
c.c) Include drawings, sketches or blueprints detailing the work.
11. All Grant Application Forms must include the date, name and title of the person that completed such form.
12. To submit the application, press "Submit". Submitted applications cannot be edited.
13. The current due date for the Grants Application Form is specified on the Foundation's webpage at www.farpr.org.
